RECEIVING INSTRUCTIONS
- Mix ships fresh at ambient temperature.
- Upon receipt, store unopened at room temperature for up to 18 months.
PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS
Ingredients
- 1 packet shortcake baking mix (included)
- 1 packet sugar (included)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold, diced or shredded using box grater
- 3/4 cup plus 2 Tbs. heavy whipping cream
Directions
- Preheat oven to 425°F.
- Pour shortcake mix in mixing bowl with diced/grated butter. Use fingers or fork to rub in butter until mixture resembles cornmeal with a few larger pieces of butter. Add 3/4 cup of heavy cream and mix until shaggy.
- Turn out on lightly floured board and knead a few times until dough just comes together. Roll out to 1" thick and cut into rounds, squares or triangles. Place biscuits on unbuttered baking sheet.
- Brush tops with remaining 2 Tbs. heavy cream and sprinkle with sugar packet.
- Bake in oven for 10–12 minutes, or until tops are lightly browned and dough is set.
- Cool on rack and serve warm.
