    Preparation Instructions

    Streusel Ingredients

    • Streusel mix (included)
    • Pecan pieces (included)
    • 8 Tbs. (1 stick/125g) cold unsalted butter, cubed

    Streusel Directions

    • Combine streusel mix, pecan pieces and butter in medium bowl. Toss butter in mix to coat. Using pastry blender or your fingertips, cut butter into mix until it forms coarse pea-size crumbs. Refrigerate until ready to use.

    Sweet Potato Ingredients

    • Sweet potato seasoning mix (included)
    • 4 lb. (2 kg) sweet potatoes
    • 8 Tbs. (1 sticks/125g) cold unsalted butter, cubed
    • 1 cup (250ml) milk or half-and-half

    Sweet Potato Directions

    • Butter 9" x 13" (23cm x 33cm) baking dish. Set aside.
    • To bake sweet potatoes: Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Wrap sweet potatoes in foil and place on baking sheet. Bake until tender, approx. 45–60 minutes, depending on size. Carefully remove skins and transfer sweet potatoes to large bowl. Reduce oven temperature to 375°F (190°C).
    • To boil sweet potatoes: Peel and cut sweet potatoes into 1" (2.5cm) sq. cubes. Place them in large pot of lightly salted water, so they are covered by 1" (2.5cm) of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium and simmer until sweet potatoes are tender, approx. 8–10 minutes. Drain sweet potatoes and return them to pot. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
    • In bowl or pot with sweet potatoes, add seasoning mix, butter and milk or half-and-half, then mash until mixture is well-combined. For silkier texture, puree sweet potatoes, seasoning mix, butter and milk or half-and-half in food processor until smooth.
    • Transfer mixture to prepared baking dish and spread evenly with spatula. Sprinkle streusel mix evenly over top and transfer to oven.
    • Bake until topping is golden brown, approx. 25–30 minutes. Let casserole cool for 5 minutes before serving.
