    America's oldest family-owned cookware foundry, Lodge has been making cast iron pots and pans since 1896. In 2011, the company debuted its seasoned carbon-steel line – lightweight cookware that's rugged enough to use over a campfire with all the benefits of traditional cast iron skillets. More responsive to cooking temperature changes than cast iron, carbon steel ensures fast heating. This preseasoned griddle has a naturally stick-resistant cooking surface that's ideal for sautéing, browning, frying and searing.

    Use & Care

    Use

    • Ideal for use on indoor and outdoor cooktops, but not induction compatible.
    • Oven and broiler safe.
    • Before each use, apply thin layer of oil to cooking surface and preheat pan slowly.

    Care

    • Hand-wash with hot water and stiff nylon brush. Do not use soap or harsh detergents.
    • Dry thoroughly, then apply small amount of vegetable oil on inside and outside surfaces while pan is still warm.
    • Store in dry location.
