    Four generations of the Jean Dubost family have been crafting fine knives in the Laguiole region of France since 1920. Inspired by the company's original folding design, these knives feature mirror-polished stainless-steel blades that slice easily through steaks and chops. Each one boasts an intricate guilloche along the top of the blade and tang, the iconic Laguiole bee and a unique faux tortoiseshell handle.

    Use

    • Always use caution when handling sharp objects.
    • Avoid cutting on hard surfaces such as stone, metal and glass.
    • It is not advisable to use any knife but a meat cleaver to cut through bone, as other blades can be easily damaged.

    Care

    • Dishwasher safe on short cycles with temperatures under 120°F. However, we recommend hand-washing for best results.
    • Avoid using harsh detergents.
    • Dry thoroughly after cleaning.
    • Maintain cutting edges by regularly using honing steel.
    • Sharpen as needed. With regular use and honing, knives should not need sharpening more than once or twice per year.
    • Sharpen knives using whetstone or knife sharpener, or have them sharpened by a professional.
    • Store knives in safe place to protect edges and prevent injury.
