The kettle's flat base promotes fast heating while the wire-loop handle provides a secure grip. Designed by Chantal Founder, Heida Thurlow, nearly 40 years ago and has become an icon of teakettle design and function. Ms. Thurlow has the distinction of being the first woman in the U.S. to launch and run a cookware company and continues to do so today.

    Use & Care

    Use

    • Ideal for gas and electric cooktops, not induction compatible.
    • Do not fill kettle above inner spout opening.
    • Do not heat empty or allow to boil dry.
    • To prevent mineral build-up, empty contents after each use.
    • Use filtered water to prevent mineral deposits.
    • Securely close lid and whistle flap before boiling.

    Care

    • Hand-wash.
    • Avoid using steel wool, steel scouring pads or harsh detergents.
    • To remove mineral deposits or rust stains from interior, combine two Tbs. baking soda and lemon juice with water, boil for 30 minutes and rinse thoroughly.
