RECEIVING INSTRUCTIONS
- Starter ships fresh at ambient temperature.
- Upon receipt, store unopened at room temperature for up to 18 months. See best before date on packaging for details.
PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS
Ingredients
- 1 packet gelato starter (included)
- 1 1/2 cups (375ml) heavy cream
- 1 1/2 cups (375ml) half-and-half
Directions
- Prepare ice cream maker according to manufacturer's instructions.
- In large bowl, whisk together half-and-half and heavy cream until combined. Add gelato starter and whisk until completely dissolved, approx. 3–5 minutes.
- Transfer mixture to ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer's instructions.
- Transfer gelato to freezer-safe container. Cover and freeze until firm, at least 1 1/2 hours for creamy traditional-style gelato or up to 3 days for firm traditional-style ice cream.
- Makes approx. 1 qt. (1L).
