Use & Care

Use

• For manual blending, always start at low speed and increase speed gradually.
• Add ingredients mid-blend by removing emulsion cap – not lid.
• When blending hot liquids, do not exceed 6 cups. Remove emulsion cap and keep hands clear of opening. Always start at low speed and use oven mitts or towel for safety. Do not use tamper with hot liquids.
• Use tamper to push thick or frozen mixtures toward blades with lid on.
• After 10 minutes of inactivity, blender enters sleep mode; wake by pressing any button or turning bezel.

Care

• Always unplug blender before cleaning.
• Blender lid, tamper, emulsion cap and jar pad are top-rack dishwasher safe. Do not use sanitize cycle of dishwasher, which may damage parts.
• Hand-wash blender jar. Use caution when handling sharp blades. For quick cleaning, fill jar halfway with water, add a few drops of dish soap and blend for 30 seconds.
• For deep cleaning, combine 1/4 cup baking soda, 1 cup vinegar and 2 cups water in jar, then run Soup cycle.
• Wipe base and control panel clean with damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive and corrosive cleaners.
• Dry all parts thoroughly after cleaning.
• Avoid using abrasive brushes and steel wool on jar to maintain clarity and appearance.
• Do not immerse base, cord or plug in water or other liquid.
