    Care

    • Wipe down exterior with soft, damp cloth. Do not use paper towels or abrasive cloths and cleaners as they may scratch finish.
    • Remove mesh basket filter and brew basket. Discard ground coffee. After each brew, rinse mesh basket filter and brew basket under running water. To deep-clean, wash with warm soapy water with soft-bristled brush. Mesh basket filter and brew basket are not dishwasher safe.
    • After each use, empty carafe. Rinse carafe and lid under warm running water. Letting coffee stand overnight in carafe can lead to staining. To deep-clean, wash with warm soapy water with soft-bristled brush. Avoid using abrasive cleaners as they may scratch finish. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Carafe and lid are not dishwasher safe.

    Descaling

    • Hard water can cause mineral buildup on internal components. This can cause a change in taste of coffee, brewing temperature and brewing flow. To avoid this, descale coffee maker descaled regularly.
    • To descale, use mixture of 1 part water to 1 part vinegar. Fill reservoir to MAX indicator. Run coffee maker through brewing cycle using 10-cup setting. Once mixture is gone, run 10-cup brew setting 3 more times using clear water in reservoir.
    • Note: When descaling, if carafe is removed, heater and pump will shut off and machine will display "Err" error code. After 2 minutes, screen will return to idle clock state. To fix error, put carafe back in place.
