Our matcha whisk is modeled after a Japanese chasen – a handmade tool traditionally produced in the Nara prefecture on the southern end of the island. Made of heat-resistant bamboo, the tool features delicately curled tines that blend matcha and other types of tea until they're frothy and smooth.

Use & Care

Use

• Rinse with warm water before first use.
• Heat-resistant to 104°F.
• Do not use in microwave.
• Do not place in refrigerator or freezer.

Care

• Hand-wash with damp cloth.
• Dry thoroughly.
• Do not soak or submerge in water.
• Rub occasionally with mineral oil or beeswax to keep bamboo from drying out.
• Remove odors by rubbing with solution of table salt and half a lemon. Allow mixture to sit on whisk for 2–3 minutes, then wipe clean with damp cloth. Dry thoroughly.
• Store in dry area away from extreme temperatures.
