Use & Care
Use
- Kettle will be hot during and after use. Always use handle to lift kettle – do not touch body.
Care
- Unplug kettle and allow it to cool before cleaning.
- Empty any remaining water and remove filter
- Hand-wash interior with hot, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
- Wipe exterior and base clean with damp cloth or sponge. Dry thoroughly.
- Avoid using abrasive cleaners.
- Do not immerse kettle in water or other liquid.
- Do not clean in dishwasher.
- Over time, kettle may heat up but not boil completely. That means it's time to descale.
- To descale, fill kettle with 4 cups cold tap water and bring to a boil. Add 2 cups white vinegar. Let stand for at least 1 hour or as long as overnight. Discard contents. Fill kettle to maximum line with cold water. Bring water to a boil, then discard. Repeat process one more time.
