Use & Care

Use

• Before brewing, place funnel in funnel support. Make sure it is assembled correctly and lid can close, then place permanent filter in funnel.
• Add coffee powder to permanent filter – typically 1 level spoon per cup. Adjust according to personal taste.
• Stop brewing process at any time by pressing BREW/OFF button. Press again to restart.

Care

• Clean after each use.
• Unplug machine and allow it to cool before cleaning.
• Hand-wash removable parts in hot, soapy water.
• Wipe exterior clean with soft, damp cloth to remove stains.
• Gently wipe warming plate clean with soft cloth.
• Avoid using abrasive cleaners.
• When it's time to descale machine, CLEAN button will flash and CLEAN will appear on display.
• To remove mineral deposits, fill water tank with water and descaler to max level as indicated on water gauge (see user manual for details). Place carafe in position on warming plate. Press CLEAN button once and button will illuminate solidly. Once solution in tank boils away, CLEAN button light will extinguish. Refill tank with clean water and press BREW/OFF button to rinse machine. Repeat rinse cycle at least 3 times.
