Use & Care
Use
- For best results, use oil or butter that is well-suited to frying. Avoid using low-smoke-point oil and aerosol sprays that do not withstand high heat.
- Metal housing will become hot during use. Do not touch hot surfaces.
- Use tongs or other heat-safe utensils to remove food. Do not pour from or lift appliance.
- Pan is especially hot when using sear mode. Use heat-resistant gloves or oven mitts to handle. Keep hands and face away from pan, as hot oil may splatter.
- Small amounts of smoke may result during browning process. If excessive smoke or splatter occurs, turn off pan and unplug until it subsides.
- Do not pour water or other liquid in pan when using high heat.
Care
- Unplug skillet and allow it to cool before cleaning.
- Insert and lid are dishwasher safe.
- Wipe outside clean with damp sponge or cloth.
- Avoid using scouring pads, powders and chemical detergents.
- Do not immerse cord, plug or base unit in water or other liquid.
- Do not operate appliance if cord or plug is damaged, if appliance malfunctions or if appliance is damaged in any manner.
