    Use & Care

    Use

    • Always use caution when handling sharp objects.
    • Avoid cutting on hard surfaces such as stone, metal and glass.
    • It is not advisable to use any knife but a meat cleaver to cut through bone, as other blades can be easily damaged.

    Care

    • Hand-wash.
    • Dry immediately.
    • Do not submerge in water for long periods of time.
    • Sharpen straight-edged knives once a week with sharpening steel, whetstone or sharpener set to 25-degree angle. Sharpen serrated knives once a week with sharpening steel, whetstone or sharpener specifically designed for serrated blades. Sharpen more often if used extensively.
    • Periodically apply linen oil or olive oil to handles to prevent wood from drying out.
    • Store in knife block.
