    Summary

The traditional French cassadou evolved in Provence, where hunters used the vessel to prepare stew from the day's catch. Similar to a Dutch oven with a long handle on one side, this lightweight, contemporary cassadou can be used as a deep sauté pan or braiser. It features Le Creuset's signature enameled cast-iron construction for superior heat distribution and retention. The durable enamel also minimizes sticking and staining, requires no additional seasoning and makes cleanup easy.
