    Additional Information

    • This product contains the following chemical: tin (and compounds). For more information, visit the Williams Sonoma Disclosures page.

    Use & Care

    Use

    • Ideal for gas and electric cooktops (not induction-compatible).
    • Oven safe to 450°F.
    • To protect tin lining from damage, do not heat pot empty or at temperatures above 450°F.
    • Use wood, plastic or heat-resistant nylon tools to avoid scratching tin lining.

    Care

    • Allow pans to cool before washing.
    • Hand-wash; dry immediately with soft cloth.
    • Avoid using steel wool, steel scouring pads and harsh detergents.
    • Copper will develop rich patina over time. This will not affect pan's cooking performance. To keep exterior looking new, use copper polish or combination of lemon and salt.
    • Tin lining protects food from reacting with copper but will become discolored over time. This is normal. Depending on frequency of use and types of food cooked, tin lining may eventually need to be replaced. To prolong lining's usefulness, avoid cooking acidic ingredients in tin-lined cookware.

    Olivewood Tools

    • Avoid direct exposure to intense heat and sunlight.
    • Hand-wash with warm, soapy water and let dry in vertical position. This will allow water to evaporate fully and prevent appearance of mold.
    • As wood is naturally porous, avoid soaking. Do not use chemical detergents and do not clean in dishwasher.
    • For deep clean, rub olivewood with coarse salt and lemon. Alternatively, use soft sponge with sodium bicarbonate and lemon juice. Always rinse with warm water and let dry fully before storing.
    • Periodically coat olivewood tools with small amount of food-grade mineral oil, rubbing gently with soft cloth. Do not use vegetable or olive oils.
    • Color and pattern variations are characteristic of natural wood and are not manufacturing defects.
