Summary
A donabe (which translates as "clay pot" in Japanese) is traditionally made from thick earthenware to produce the gentle, even heat needed for hot-pot dishes like yosenabe, shabu-shabu and mizutaki. Ours is expertly crafted of durable high-fired stoneware with a tight-fitting lid and loop handles for secure transport from kitchen to table. Use the versatile pot to prepare steamed rice, soup, stew, casseroles and more.
