    Use & Care

    Use

    • Do not let thermometer tip touch bottom of pan.
    • Do not wipe or handle thermometer while it is hot.
    • For accuracy, 1" to 2" liquid must cover bottom bulb of tube to be accurate.
    • Thermometer base can rest on bottom of pan, but avoid allowing bulb to touch pan bottom, which will affect temperature readings.
    • Shipping or storage may occasionally make red liquid of temperature indicator separate slightly. To remedy, remove thermometer from packaging and tap side of bulb (end down) against palm of your hand, pausing between taps to permit liquid to run down tube. Continue until liquid is completely combined.
